AfroFest ’21

The maiden edition of Regal Africa AfroFest was held from the 6th to the 7th of November 2021 in Culver City, California. It was a 2-day celebration of Africa, held during the 2021 annual Asian Film Festival.
The event started with a conference titled “The African Dream” in conversations with Esi Yemoah, Niran Koko, Olamide Oladimeji, Sara Eid Amin Sabry, and Yeti Omilana and moderated by Olukayode Olubunmi.
The festival had participants from all over the world. It featured art exhibitions by Ronke Aina-Scott, fashion by Oyindamola Ogunsanwo of House of Jasmine, dance by Ayo Jam, food, silent auctions, raffles, a VIP afterparty, and more. Live music performances were headlined by Wole Oni, Ofie Kodjoe, Demola the Violinist, Dramane Kone, and DJ TOS with support performances by RAMOU, Tosin, and others.
